2026 Afterschool Clubs
Afterschool clubs through The Community Classroom are multi-week activity clubs designed to encourage curiosity, teamwork, and lots of joy.
Held at High Five Books or The Florence Business and Civic Association, these afterschool clubs are open to any students age 6-up and last 1.5 hours each session.

Afterschool Clubs
Below is our list of after-school clubs. Check back often, as we may add more throughout the school year.
Critter Club
Does your kid LOVE animals? Critter Club teaches real pet care skills through hands-on learning & live animal visitors.
Boom Club
Boom Club: an 8-week fire-free science club where kids explore explosions through volcanoes, fireworks chemistry & more.
Babysitters Club
Babysitters Club: an afterschool club inspired by the beloved book series, teaching real caregiving skills through badges & hands-on practice.
Manga and Munchies Club
Manga Club (ages 8–11, 12+ CITs) runs April 3–June 12 on Fridays, 4–5:30 PM—exploring manga through reading, drawing, and mini-comic creation.
Mythbusters Club
Is Bigfoot real? Mythbusters Club teaches kids critical thinking through cryptid investigations, evidence evaluation & science.

Dinner’s On Me: A Feed-Your-Family Cooking Club
What if your child cooked dinner from scratch every week? Dinner's on Me teaches real kitchen skills with a family meal to take home each session.
Want to be a CIT?
A CIT is a Counselor-In-Training and will assist with delivering the camps we offer! This training will prepare you for future paid work with The Community Classroom and also looks awesome on an Honor Society or college application! 3 positions are available per camp, ages 10+.
Cost: Same as camper cost and includes swag and staff support.
Want to register? That’s great! Fill out the registration form below and be sure to choose “YES” when asking about the CIT option. When registering multiple students, please register your child who wants to be a CIT first.
To register, please select the date of the camp, then the time of the camp.You’ll see a pop-up box below with Megan Allen as the camp instructor. Please select that. You can also register CITs after clicking the “learn more” buttons on the individual camps.

Payment is due upon registration.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your child’s spot, we’re happy to offer a 50% refund if the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the camp date. Cancellations made less than one week before the camp are nonrefundable.
