Tomorrow we`ll be making fizzy moon rocks at the @florencefarmersmarketma, an activity that is free and open to all kids and families! We`ll be there from 2-6 pm EST and have our pop-up social justice reading room AND the space trailer in tow, ready for exploration and play. We can`t wait to see you!

Some of our absolute favorite programs have come straight from the imaginations of the children in our community. Cat Club? Kid`s idea (Lula and Milo!). Unicorn Club? Kid`s idea (Cora!). Manga Club? You guessed it.

So we`re asking: if your child could have a club or camp about ANYTHING — what would it be?

Tomorrow is our Slime Making Lab at the Florence Farmer`s Market! We`ll be making slime, reading space books at the Little Community Classroom space trailer, and hanging out with our buds at Campus School of Smith College who will bring their button making machine!

We`ll keep an eye on the weather and be out if there`s no rain. No cost, reservations, always fun! Come out and join us.

It started with a box of raisins. 🍇

Now we have a full-blown research project on our hands. Our young mathematician has been opening box after box, counting every single raisin, making predictions, and tracking the range. Spoiler alert: not one box has had the same number yet.
This is what following a child`s lead looks like in action. One curious question, one great tutor, and suddenly a kid is practicing counting, estimation, data collection, and prediction — and asking to do it again tomorrow.
