She counted each box by sorting them into groups of tens and ones, found the total, then compared the totals and found the range. What started as a school snack ended up being a study in mathematical thinking!

That time when we had a summer camp where young authors learned from a nationally known author. WAIT! We do that every summer! Two years ago we had the amazing @pacylin teach us about taking research and turning them into story, last summer @heidieys had one-on-one writing conferences with our campers. We can`t wait to reveal who is coming to work with our writers this summer!

And caregivers, this summer ware offering this experience 2 different weeks! Campers learn the history of Florence at the @davidrugglescenter, learn research skills with our friends at Lily Library, and dye their own silk endpapers. Then they create their own text and illustrations for their very own book! This bookmaking camp is a special experience, and there are still spots open. We`d love to have your young author join us! Ages 8-11, 12 and up as CITs. This year we @high_five_books is hosting us. And the guest author? TO BE REVEALED SO SOON!
