Saturday is Pi Day (3/14 , get it?), and we are celebrating in the most mathy, joyful, nerdy way possible with some of our favorite collaborators. Here`s the plan:
π 10:00 AM β Storytime at High Five Books We`re kicking off the day with some of our favorite math board books by the incredible Grace Lin. Cozy, literary, and just the right amount of cozy.
π² Then we mosey over to A2Z Science and Learning Toys for math games, good nerdy vibes, Pi temporary tattoos, and β wait for it β
π₯§ FREE Florence Pie Bar pie from 3:14 PM to 5:14 PM (Yes. 3:14. We see ourselves.)

Both events are open to the public, completely free, and perfect for tiny math lovers and big ones alike. Come celebrate the most irrational holiday of the year with us! π€

We went on a leprechaun scavenger hunt today! We engineered a contraption out of only 3 materials to hold up a gold coin with no human help, we created a chemical reaction to reveal gold coins, we followed clues to find gold treasure (which ended at a rainbow with Oreos!), and we created leprechaun traps using certain criteriaβ¦we were St Paddyβs engineers and problem solvers!

Itβs not easy slowing yourself down and making a thoughtful plan before jumping into action. But these kids did it, then they taught their unicorns how to do it! Executive functioning and brain building, unicorn-style. Complete with color-changing unicorn lemonade!

Crystals! Today we made rock candy crystals, read a book about crystals, built cozy pillow forts, and checked out different kinds of crystals under the microscope. Thanks as always to Kali for leading our explorations and @high_five_books for providing such a cozy learning studio!

Your child is about to adopt a fairy. πͺ (A stuffy, we promise.) In Fairy Club, kids design magical habitats, explore nature, light, and flight, and grow social-emotional skills through storytelling and imaginative play.
