Spooky Science October 14 | 12–4 PM | Ages 6–9, 10+ as CITs

Our last day at the Florence Farmers’ Market gets a spooky upgrade! This Halloween-themed science extravaganza takes young scientists on a ghoulish journey through chemistry, physics, and biology — with a special trip to the Farmers’ Market for our final Space Trailer celebration of the season.

Young scientists may:

• Build and test spider web structures to discover the engineering secrets behind one of nature’s strongest materials 
• Run fizzing cauldron potion experiments:  observe, predict, test, and record your reactions
• Layer liquids to create a spooky density tower and discover why some liquids float on top of others
• Make their very own fake blood and explore the science of viscosity 
• Whip up a batch of spooky slime to take home
• Say goodbye to the Little Community Classroom Space Trailer for the season in style! And leave with goodies from the Spooky Science at the Florence Farmers’ Market event. 

Campers leave with their density tower, slime, fake blood kit, and a head full of spooky science knowledge. Perfect for curious kids who love chemistry, engineering, and just the right amount of Halloween! Costumes encouraged.
