Scott is originally from the Washington, DC area. His undergraduate work was at the University of Maryland and his Masters is from Trinity Washington University (in DC). He worked in DC Public Schools for seven years, Baltimore City Schools for three, and is now in his fourth year at Northampton Public Schools. In all that time he’s been incredibly lucky to have joyful classroom communities and has made caregivers a part of that community. He firmly believes that it’s possible to both have a fun, joyful environment while also maintaining structure and getting work done.
Outside of school, he enjoys reading mysteries and climbing. He also enjoys traveling to places he hasn’t lived in abroad. He’s lived in England, South Korea, and Central America. There are many more places to go!
