With a BA in psychology and an MA in sustainable development, Rachel (she/her) did not set out to become a teacher. But wanderlust took her to Japan to teach English after college, and then an awesome opportunity opened up for a high school math gig at a bilingual school in Costa Rica, and the rest, as they say, is history. Rachel delights in helping students overcome fears and negative beliefs about themselves and discover their strengths as learners. With the right kind of support and enthusiasm, anyone can master trigonometry, or converse in Spanish, or ace the SAT. When not teaching, Rachel enjoys being outdoors with her partner and her six year old twins.
