Hailey is a senior biology student at Smith College, planning to pursue a master in science teaching. She has two semesters of statistics tutoring experience at Simmons University where she helped students one-on-one with R coding, concepts breakdown and exam preparation. She also has 1 year of ongoing TA experience volunteering at AFSO, promoting the equity in the access to STEM education for underprivileged female students.
Originally from China, Hailey has previously self-employed as ESL teacher for students with similar backgrounds as her. During her time there, she shared the challenges her once faced preparing for studying abroad and helped students with different learning styles to mitigate them.
Hailey is dedicated to bring not only academic but also personal growth to students. By making their difficulty feel seen and working it out by their side, she aims to build confidence and joy in learning for students.
