Chris has a decade of teaching experience and has taught students from first through sixth grade. Before coming to education, Chris had a career as an Army officer and financial analyst. Currently, Chris is a fourth-grade teacher at Deerfield Elementary School. He believes in fostering positive relationships with each student and using their likes and interests to contextualize difficult concepts and promote active participation and engagement. He holds a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Rhode Island. Outside of the classroom, Chris enjoys hiking and skiing with his wife and two children.
