Standard Tutoring Services

Standard Tutoring Services (STS) helps to immediately alleviate stress by pairing the student with a professional, expert, and qualified tutor.

How It Works

This process simply requires some detailed information upfront regarding the student’s learning strengths, teaching preferences, and areas where they are looking to improve upon. Once captured, we will efficiently contact you with the tutor we believe will be the best match for your student. We’ll send you a resume or two of recommended tutor matches, then you have the final say.

Our tried and true 4-step process ensures your child is matched with the perfect tutor who has the right teaching style, demeanor, educational background, and skill set in order to best compliment your student’s learning preferences (we use a proprietary, evidence-based Compatibility Tool to ensure it!). We hand match your child to their tutor based on 5 criteria: Content and grade level, areas of expertise (your child’s and the tutor’s!), interests and strengths, similarities and differences, and availability.

Tutoring includes a discovery session, hand-matched tutor recommendations, Learner and Caregiver Questionnaires to ensure success, and a Learning Map to keep track of session objectives, standards, and notes from the tutor. It does not include the monthly progress reports and Zoom or face-to-face conference.

I am so impressed by the care with which our daughter was matched with just the right tutor. The Community Classroom has helped our daughter gain confidence in math and reading.
