Below is the offering of school year pop-up camp programs and afterschool clubs held by The Community Classroom for 2025-2026, teacher-developed and teacher-led.

Dragon Academy: Adopt Your Dragon! (2 spots left)
Magical half-day camp where kids adopt a dragon, build habitats and accessories, and explore dragon science through hands-on crafts and imaginative play.
Golden Mission: K-Pop Science (2 spots left)
Through STEAM challenges and design adventures, kids build their K-Pop Demon Hunter character, gear, and practice teamwork.
Mystery Solvers: Crack the Case! (10 spots left)
Calling all junior detectives! Kids crack codes, follow clues, and solve a hands-on mystery at this fun half-day camp.
Leprechaun Science and Solar Secrets
Explore leprechaun science with colorful experiments, secret messages, clever traps, and a working sundial.
Reuse & Recylcle: Creative Makers Camp
A hands-on kids recycling and upcycling camp where campers learn mending, make handmade paper, and turn everyday materials into art.
National Unicorn Day Celebration
Celebrate National Unicorn Day! Families are invited to meet a real live unicorn and enjoy a magical, joy-filled experience.
Spring Egg-Stravaganza Science Camp
A hands-on spring science camp for kids featuring egg drop challenges, bouncy egg experiments, egg biology, and creative egg art
Sew Magical: Fairy Hand Sewing Camp
Ages 6-9 (CIT 10+) Step into a fairy sewing camp! Campers learn hand sewing, design magical pouches, and build fine motor skills and creative confidence.
Unicorn Academy Camp
Ages 6-9 (CIT, 10+) A magical unicorn camp where kids adopt a plush unicorn, build confidence and social skills, and enjoy imaginative adventures all week.
Young Authors & Illustrators: A Bookmaking Camp (Section A)
Ages 8–11 (CITs 12+) A creative camp where young authors write, illustrate, and publish their own books while exploring Florence’s history and community.
Sparkle Science Camp: The Science of Shine
Ages 6-9 (CIT 10+) A kids’ science camp exploring light, color, crystals, and sparkle through interactive experiments and creative making.
Young Authors & Illustrators: A Bookmaking Camp (Section B)
Ages 8–11, CITs 12+ A creative camp where young authors write, illustrate, and publish their own books while exploring Florence’s history and community.
Leadership Lab Camp
Ages 8-11, CIT 12+ A hands-on leadership camp helping kids grow confidence through community internships, public speaking, and teamwork.
Mini-Detectives Forensic Science Camp
Ages 6–9, CITs 10+ A hands-on forensic science camp for curious kids who love solving mysteries, cracking clues, and thinking like real detectives.
BakeLab: The Science of Sweet and Savory
Ages 8-11, CIT 12+ A one-day food science camp where kids (age 8-11) bake, experiment, and discover how ingredients transform through heat, chemistry, and curiosity.
College Essay and Self-Discovery Camp
For high school aged students. A supportive college essay and writing camp where teens develop authentic stories, clarity, and confidence.
Camp Swiftie
Ages 6–9, CITs 10+ A wee long summer camp program where kids explore storytelling, fashion, friendship, and self-expression inspired by Taylor Swift.
Want to be a CIT?
A CIT is a Counselor-In-Training and will assist with delivering the camps we offer! This training will prepare you for future paid work with The Community Classroom and also looks awesome on an Honor Society or college application! 3 positions are available per camp, ages 10+.
Cost: Same as camper cost and includes swag and staff support.
Want to register? That’s great! Fill out the registration form below and be sure to choose “YES” when asking about the CIT option. When registering multiple students, please register your child who wants to be a CIT first.
To register, please select the date of the camp, then the time of the camp.You’ll see a pop-up box below with Megan Allen as the camp instructor. Please select that. You can also register CITs after clicking the “learn more” buttons on the individual camps.

Payment is due upon registration.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your child’s spot, we’re happy to offer a 50% refund if the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the camp date. Cancellations made less than one week before the camp are nonrefundable.
