Wednesday Magic: The Little Community Classroom Space Trailer Returns to the Florence Farmers’ Market
Free weekly activities for kids, a pop-up reading room, and a whole season of hands-on fun — starting May 6.
There’s something special about Wednesday afternoons in Florence. The market fills with the smell of fresh bread and early season vegetables, neighbors stop to catch up, and — starting May 6 — a little space trailer will be parked right in the middle of it all, ready to make some magic with your kids.
The Little Community Classroom Space Trailer is back at the Florence Farmers’ Market for another full season, and we couldn’t be more excited. Every Wednesday from 2–6 PM, families can stop by for a pop-up reading room, space-themed games and puzzles, and a brand-new free hands-on activity for kids. No registration. No cost. Just show up and play.
What Is the Space Trailer?
The Space Trailer is The Community Classroom’s mobile learning hub — a whimsical, space-themed pop-up space where kids can explore, create, read, and discover. Think of it as a mini enrichment program on wheels, right in the heart of your community. It’s the kind of place where a child can walk in clutching their parent’s hand and walk out twenty minutes later covered in slime, holding a constellation they made themselves, and already asking when they can come back.
It’s one of our favorite things we do — and judging by the kids who come running when they spot it across the market, it might be one of theirs too.

Why We Do This
The Community Classroom believes that every child deserves access to joyful, enriching, hands-on learning — not just the ones who can afford a summer program or whose parents have the flexibility to drive them across town. The Farmers’ Market is a place where our whole community gathers, and we want learning to be right there in the middle of it.
Our activities are designed by educators who understand how children learn — through doing, through wondering, through getting their hands a little messy. Whether your child spends twenty minutes or two hours at the trailer, we hope they leave a little more curious than when they arrived.
