Kim is a current 3rd-grade teacher whose background in outdoor education influences her teaching in the classroom. She is a teacher who values hands-on learning and the importance of grounding academic work in the world around us. Kim earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Smith College and her Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College. After traveling the country and teaching in many different schools along the way, Kim recently settled in the Pioneer Valley with her partner and her dog. When not teaching, Kim enjoys spending time outside hiking, climbing, and running the many trails in the area!
