DESCRIPTION:✨ Sparkle Club: Stories\, Science & Cozy Creativity\nAn After-School Experience for Ages 6–9\nCIT Program for Ages 10+\nHosted by High Five Books + The Community Classroom\nOnce a week\, the week of January 12 – March 30th\, 11 weeks\, 3:30-5pm on Mondays\, $250 pp\, $25/day\nJanuary – March (when we could all use a little more light)\nTheres is NO club on January 19th for MLK Day and during February vacation (February 16) \nSparkle Club isn’t just an after-school club—it’s a winter storytelling experience where books glow\, ideas shine\, and kids discover the magic of both literacy and light. \nEach week begins with a read-aloud tucked into the cozy corners of High Five Books\, followed by a creative writing invitation inspired by the day’s theme. Then we switch on the science: exploring circuits\, glow\, reflection\, electricity\, and the way sunlight and shadows shape the world. Kids won’t just learn—they’ll tinker\, build\, investigate\, imagine\, and create in a warm\, whimsical environment designed for curiosity.\nWith a maximum of 12 participants\, Sparkle Club offers personalized attention\, space to think and write\, and hands-on science that feels like play. This is a screen-free\, learner-centered 90 minutes of reading\, experimenting\, and cozy winter creativity. \nCIT Program (Ages 10+)\nOlder students can join as Counselors-in-Training\, gaining leadership skills while helping younger kids write\, build circuits\, explore materials\, and contribute to a calm\, joyful club community. \nEach session includes:\n✨ A themed read-aloud featuring magical\, science-y\, or light-inspired stories\n✨ A short\, creative writing prompt or bookmaking activity\n✨ A hands-on science exploration (circuits\, LEDs\, prisms\, sunlight\, glow materials\, etc.)\n✨ Cozy winter vibes at High Five Books—pillows\, warm lights\, and creative energy \nHow to register: \n\nIf you are an existing client or have attended a camp previously\, please register once logged in the Tutorbird platform.\nNew clients and students: Please find the correct date and time of the event on the calendar below\, then click “Book and Sign Up” for registration.
